Accessibility statement
VERADIQ aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. We have not had an independent audit and do not claim conformance.
What we have done
- Semantic landmarks, a skip link, one h1 per page and visible keyboard focus.
- Colour pairs chosen for AA contrast in light and dark themes; body text is navy on white, not blue.
- The site works with scripts off: animation and reveal effects are progressive enhancements, and the page content is always present.
- Motion respects the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting. - Layout tested at widths from 360 px up; text can be zoomed without horizontal scrolling of the page. Wide data tables scroll inside their own container.
What we have tested
Automated checks at build time (valid structure, resolving links, no inline scripts) and visual inspection in a headless Chromium browser at desktop and phone widths in light and dark themes. We have not tested with screen readers or voice control.
Known limitations
- The privacy notice page uses its own simpler layout.
- Source documents on GOV.UK and the OBR are PDFs or spreadsheets whose accessibility we do not control.
